Through the 2-year EU-supported action “Strengthening Civil Society Organizations’ Institutional and Operational Capacity to Respond to Gender Inequalities and Violence – MenEngage Botswana,” launched in 2024, MBGE is helping CSOs lead effective advocacy against GBV.
In November and December 2024, two impactful workshops brought together 42 participants from women, youth, and vulnerable group organizations. The focus? Building skills to tackle GBV through community advocacy and legal literacy.
Sessions emphasized Botswana’s legal frameworks on GBV, storytelling for advocacy, and coalition building — with plenty of space for peer learning and sharing lived experiences.
